Building Innovative Learning Experiences That Drive Results
With a Master of Education in Applied Digital Learning and Leadership from Lamar University, I bring a powerful blend of instructional design, digital strategy, and real-world implementation to every learning environment I touch. My work is grounded in a project-based, research-driven approach that equips me to identify gaps, design meaningful solutions, and deliver results—whether in the classroom, on a campus, or in a corporate setting.
I specialize in developing learner-centered, high-impact training programs that prioritize creativity, accessibility, and measurable outcomes. From ideation to evaluation, I design and facilitate both in-person and virtual experiences that promote engagement, reflection, and growth. My instructional philosophy is rooted in the belief that all learners thrive in environments where they are seen, heard, and challenged to think critically.
As a digital learning leader, I’ve already created and implemented an onboarding and training program that’s actively used on my campus today—streamlining teacher onboarding and supporting tech integration across departments. My academic research focused on cultivating significant learning environments through choice, ownership, voice, and authentic learning (COVA), a model I continue to champion in every course or workshop I design.
I am ready to bring my skills in course design, program development, instructional technology, and strategic implementation to organizations looking to elevate their learning and development experiences. Whether you're building from the ground up or looking to reimagine what's already in place—I’m the partner you want leading the change.
My Story
With a career rooted in service, creativity, and transformative learning, I bring over a decade of experience as an educator and leader committed to cultivating spaces where students, teachers, and communities thrive. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Corporate Communication and a Master of Education in Applied Digital Learning and Leadership from Lamar University. I am currently pursuing a Master of Science in Nonprofit Administration with an emphasis in Development at Louisiana State University, Shreveport.
By day, I serve as a middle school graphic design teacher and the chair of the Career and Technical Education (CTE) department, where I lead with vision and heart. My work centers on student voice, creativity, and real-world application. I’ve designed and implemented several signature programs, including:
-
Professors of Practice, a guest speaker series that brings industry professionals into the classroom to connect students to career pathways.
-
It’s a CMS Christmas, an annual student-led service project that provides care packages and cards for local senior citizens.
-
A new teacher onboarding and training program has now been adopted campus-wide.
I also mentor new educators, develop digital learning content, and support campus-wide technology integration—all while managing high-impact student projects in graphic design, video production, and ePortfolios.
Outside the classroom, I’m the founder of Carter Girls, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering girls in STEM and Fine Arts. My leadership philosophy is grounded in faith, equity, and innovation. Whether I'm facilitating a workshop, writing curriculum, or organizing a community service initiative, my goal is simple: to leave every space better than I found it.
I’m a proud wife, mother, and dog mom. I find joy in cooking soulful meals, reading a wide range of genres from thrillers to romance, and organizing (yes, even my spice rack is in alphabetical order). I believe in leading with compassion, thinking boldly, and always making room for joy.
Thanks for visiting my digital space. Let’s build something meaningful together.
